Since 2003, Musikeon has organized at its centre
in Valencia Annual Courses in
Piano Analysis and Interpretation as an extension of the activities
of the former Duetto School of Music. The initiative, which
dates back to 1991, is headed by Luca Chiantore and
has enjoyed the participation of such outstanding musicians as Alicia
de Larrocha, Dimitri Bashkirov, Joaquín Achúcarro, Lazar
Berman, Ton Koopman, Mischa Maisky, Katia & Marielle Labèque,
Piero Rattalino, Josep Pons, Eric Heidsieck, Rinaldo Alessandrini and
Krystian Zimerman.
Year after year, the unique atmosphere of the courses attracts students from every corner of Spain. These are courses with a difference, aimed at trained musicians who wish to perfect their technique, broaden their repertoire and discover solutions to the many questions that the official curriculum frequently leaves unanswered. Courses in theory as well as practical classes of the highest quality, open to pianists whose only prerequisite is a desire to share their common love for music.
